Project Description: The African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW) is a body of all African Ministers with responsibility for water resources. The Mission of AMCOW is to provide leadership, policy direction and advocacy in the provision, use and management of water resources for sustainable social and economic development to maintain the African ecosystems. In this regard AMCOW aims to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation and coordination to achieve their regional water agenda.

IBS provides expert management consulting services and support to AMCOW on an as per needed basis. Some of the services provided include:

• Capacity Building – supported initiatives to improve the organization’s internal capacity in fiscal and financial management, including providing various types of support in the recruitment effort of a financial manager.
• Project and contract management support – supported initiative to enhance and improve communication by leveraging viable technology solutions.
