Maryland Public Service Commission, IBS was on a team that worked on behalf of the Commission to review proposals on how to improve electric service reliability during a major storm event. The proposals were from the 6 electric utility companies serving the state and include a variety of system hardening and response techniques, project cost estimates and rate impacts.


Maryland Public Service Commission, IBS was also on a team that worked on behalf of the Commission to review the proposed merger between Pepco and Exelon. IBS role included extensive evaluation of the cost benefits of such a merger and impacts on Maryland rate payers.


San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, IBS was engaged to provide expert consulting support in the utilities evaluation of new innovative rate structures for its storm water program.


City of Harrisburg, IBS was on a team engaged to perform a rapid, high-level review of key issues, to determine the state of current water wastewater, and related administrative operations; and develop viable options to fully and most effectively implement the goals of the Strategic Plan process.


Virginia Tech, IBS as a sub on the Albert Risk Team, conducted an assessment of the university’s operational risk and risk management function and provided recommendations to the university.


Washington Gas & Electric, IBS as a sub on the Silverpoint Team, on behalf of the public service commission conducted a management audit of the Natural Gas Purchasing processes and policies. The audit was performed to ensure that rates being charged to the utility customers are just and reasonable.


Lagos Water Corporation, IBS was engaged to carry out a forensic payroll audit covering 2013 to September 2017. As part of the engagement, IBS conducted assessments of the payroll operations and processes, identified gaps in internal controls, and made recommendations for improvements, based on best practices.
