Project:  Wastewater Treatment Plant Feasibility Study and Financial Modeling

Project Description: The Lagos State Government, through its Wastewater Management Office engaged J-Dos Global International Inc (J-Dos) and its partner (IBS, LLC) to perform a feasibility study on the construction and operation of several state-of-the-art Wastewater Facilities across the State. The state was particularly interested in a public private partnership mode of financing for these facilities. Although the overall benefit sought for the project was the creation of sustainable water and wastewater treatment technology and management systems, the proposed project was also required to provide the following additional benefits:

  • To improve living conditions and eliminate the presence of sanitary waste from the environment;
  • To decrease contaminates in potable water;
  • To provide local employment and business for local suppliers during construction and operation;
  • To provide long term employment for hundreds of local residents;
  • To provide treatment of wastewater for over three hundred thousand residents;
  • To generate needed income that could be invested in additional urban infrastructure improvements; and
  • To create a positive effect on a large segment of the population.

The project also includes developing a financial model for analyzing the financial viability of such a project with varying financial assumptions.
